Both ways

Bush has vetoed a bill that would have funded embryonic stem-cell research. He was also a part of a Republican effort to keep Terri Schiavo's body alive through continued artificial means. He would have us believe he thinks life is sacred. However, he intentionally deceived this nation in order to start an unnecessary war in Iraq, and he currently opposes a cease-fire in Lebanon. Apparently, life is sacred to him unless it is attached to a functioning human brain. Perhaps, anyone able to think for themselves is perceived as a threat and is, therefore, expendable.
