In the end, Bush does as he pleases

We, the free American people, our moral religious preachers, our intelligent schools and universities, our smart independent mass media, our courageous Democratic Congress, and our brilliant Republican president have reached an amicable working arrangement. We, the people, can believe whatever we want to believe. Our preachers can preach whatever they want to preach. Our schools and universities can teach whatever they want to teach. Our mass media can broadcast, or propagate, whatever they want. Our congressmen can say whatever they want to say — and our president will do whatever he wants to do.
